~ Showcases South Park's Historic Neighborhood ~
This popular (FREE) event features a historic home tour, walking tours, expert historical advice and design consultations, live music, children's activities and crafts, community booths, food vendors, and local artists and restoration experts. It's "where to go if your contractor has been dead for 75 years," and for a delightful day of family-friendly festivities in beautiful San Diego.
South Park is the perfect location for such an event, as this Golden Hill neighborhood has undergone extensive restoration over the years. This year, fairgoers will have the opportunity to talk with vendors who specialize in home restoration -- such as specialized hardware, lighting, fireplace repair, woodworking experts, landscape design, interior design, window and paint and color exhibitors -- all of whom are happy to answer questions and offer advice.
Admission to The Old House Fair is free. Fair-goers will enjoy live music throughout the day, as well as expert seminars, demonstrations, arts and crafts, and children's activities. Guided walking tours and the SOHO San Diego "Ask The Experts" seminars are free as well.
Tickets for the popular Trolley Tour of South Park and Golden Hill ($5 per person, free for kids), and the Historic Houses Tour ($20) will be available at the Fair Info Booth on Beech St.
