The Greater Golden Hill CDC operates a 33 unit affordable housing complex and two duplexes providing high quality and affordable living for children and their families.
The Golden Villa apartment, completed in January of 1998, is a 32 unit housing (33rd unit allocated for Property Manager) community that provides decent, affordable housing for large families in a safe canyon setting. The complex also has a laundry room, an activity room, a playground for older children and a tot lot for young children.
Golden Villa's affordability factor is for families who are at 37% of median income, or very, very low income. 95% of the families have at least one member who works.
The complex currently has a waiting list of more 157 families.
El Greater Golden Hill CDC opera un apartamento de 33 unidades y dos dplex con 2 unidades cada uno de bajo recursos, proporcionando alta calidad de vida al alcance de los niños y sus familias.
El apartamento de Golden Villas, fue terminado en enero de 1998, es una vivienda de 32 unidades (la unidad 33 es asignada para Gerente de la Propiedad) de la comunidad que ofrece una vivienda digna y asequible para las familias numerosas en seguida de un seguro cañón. El apartamento también dispone de una sala de lavandería, una sala de actividades, un patio de recreo para los niños mayores y una zona de juegos infantiles para los niños pequeños.

Tax Credit Program help people with low income to qualify for housing in the Golden Villas Apartments
Every month an event for the kids from the property are held in the community room.
For the last couple of years, we have had a toy drive for the children in our affordable housing.
The Golden Villa's Apartments won the 1998 San Diego Non Profit Federation's award for housing development of the year.
